Roy-Viau, Barrett on women's basketball honor roll

Two members of the Concordia Stingers women's basketball team were named to the conference all-star teams announced by the RSEQ this afternoon.

Marilyse Roy-Viau, a third-year forward from Mirabel, Que., was named to the RSEQ's first all-star team. She led the Quebec conference in scoring with 15.8 points per game. She was third in rebounding with an average of 8.3.

This is the third time she has earned a spot on the league honor roll. She was also a second team all-star in 2013 and 2014.

Kaylah Barrett, a fifth-year guard from Brampton, Ont., wraps up her exceptional university career with her fifth all-star honor. After four years on the first team, she has a place on the second squad this season.

Barrett was the second leading scorer in the RSEQ with 15.3 points per game. She was also second in steals with an average of 3.1.
