Rajotte, Tessier in England with national rugby team

Two members of the Concordia Stingers are in Surrey, England with Rugby Canada’s Maple Leaf development team for games against the England Women National Academy this week.

Frédérique Rajotte and Alex Tessier are with the Maple Leafs. They arrived in England early last week to train and play today at 2 p.m. and again Saturday at 9 a.m. The games will take place at the Esher RFC.

Rajotte, a third-year centre, was the RSEQ MVP and a CIS all-Canadian. She was a dominant force game in and game out with the Stingers. She led Concordia in scoring with 12 tries in seven games.

Tessier, also third-year centre, scored seven tries and connected for eight converts in seven games in the RSEQ regular season. She was named a conference all-star and a CIS all-Canadian for her efforts.
