Concordia head coach Rastko Popovic is pleased to announce Nicholas Noble, a talented shooting guard from Champlain College, St. Lambert, has committed to the Stingers men’s basketball program.
“Nicholas is a great addition to our team,” said Popovic. “We were looking to add depth at the guard position while addressing our need for three-point shooting and ball handling. He’s a tremendous young man with a great work ethic, and we are looking forward to having him in a Stingers’ uniform.”
The six-foot-two native of Ville St Pierre, Que. is currently averaging 9.2 points a game and shooting 38 per cent from the three-point line. Last Friday, Noble scored 26 points (7 of 9 from the three-point line) to help his team defeat Jean de Brébeuf 90-74.
“I’m really excited to be part of the men’s basketball program and to see all my hard work paying off,” said Noble. “Concordia is a good fit for me because it’s close to home and I like that it is a hard working program competing for a top spot in the conference. I’m grateful that Concordia believes in me and feels I can do well at the next level.
"I’m also looking forward to playing again with my former teammate TJ Umar. I would like to thank my mom and dad, family and friends for their continuous support.”
Noble will study in the Economics program at Concordia.
