Stingers add Limoilou forward Marie-Pascale Bernier

The Concordia women’s hockey team is pleased to announce Marie-Pascale Bernier from the RSEQ champion Limoilou Titans has committed to joining the Stingers this fall.

“Marie-Pascale is a defensively responsible centre and that’s a tough role to play,” said Julie Chu, Concordia’s acting head coach. “Overall, she is a very smart player and this allows her to be utilized in a lot of situations and allows her to create a lot of opportunities for her teammates.”

Bernier is a very focused, dedicated player who improved a lot over her Cégep career. By the end of her three years with the Titans she was on the power play, penalty kill and on one of the top lines.

At Limoilou she won two RSEQ championships in three seasons. In her final year in the college ranks, Bernier played 24 games picking up 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points.

The Quebec City native also enjoyed a lot of success playing bantam AA and midget AA in her hometown. She was also named to the Quebec U18 team in 2012 and competed for a national championship in B.C.

Bernier will study Mathematics and Statistics at Concordia University.
