Task, Hinse – Athletes of the Week

Caroline Task of the women’s basketball team and Olivier Hinse of the men’s hockey team have been named the Concordia Stingers athletes of the week for the period ending Jan. 8.

Task, a first-year guard, was exceptional in Concordia’s first game back after the holiday break. She helped the Stingers defeat the UQAM Citadins 69-55 on Saturday. Task picked up 20 points to lead all scorers in the game. She was an impressive four of eight from three-point range.

A 20-year-old native of Dorval, Que., Task is studying Human Resources in the John Molson School of Business.

Hinse, a fifth-year forward and team captain, scored five goals and added three assists for eight points in three games for the Stingers last week. He was instrumental in helping his team win all three games. In addition, he was named to Canada’s team for the World University Games in Kazakhstan at the end of the month.

The 25-year-old athlete from Sherbrooke, Que. is working on a graduate certificate in Business Administration.
