André Grasset trio commits to Concordia football

The Concordia football program is pleased to announce three members of the Collège André Grasset Phenix have committed to the Stingers and will join them for training camp in August.

The Stingers are pleased to welcome running back Louis-Philippe Maltais, receiver Kyle Greenbaum and linebacker John Boachie.

“These are all good students and all good people,” said assistant head coach Patrick Donovan. “They are a good fit for our program and we’re excited to have them join our family.”

Maltais, who checks in at six feet and 205 pounds, carried the ball 59 times for 266 yards in 2016 with his Cégep Division 1 team. He previously played at Collège St-Jean-Vianney.

“Louis-Philippe is the complete package,” Donovan said. “He’ll have a great university career. He runs hard, has great vision, he has excellent pass-blocking skills and he hits the hole.”

Also on the offensive side of the ball is Greenbaum, who has good size at six foot one, 185 pounds. In 2016 with the Phenix, he caught 12 balls for 98 yards. He comes out of the respected Collège Notre Dame program where he was a high school all-star with the Cactus in 2014.

Finally, Boachie is an outside linebacker/special teams player who is six feet, 205 pounds. Last season he had one tackle, six assists and a pass breakup. He comes out of the St. Laurent Spartans midget program.
