The Concordia Stingers men’s hockey team is thanking all its amazing supporters by making this Friday night’s playoff contest – its biggest home event in the history of the university – a Fan Appreciation game.
When the Stingers host the York Lions in the OUA bronze medal playoff game, tickets will be $5 for students and $10 general admission. This applies to tickets bought in advance and at the door on game day.
The winner of the bronze medal game will earn a berth at the U SPORTS men’s hockey national championship at University of New Brunswick in Fredericton March 15-18. The last time Concordia advanced to the nationals was in 1984.
The Stingers and the Lions, who are the runners-up in the OUA West conference, did not meet this season. The last time the teams met was Nov. 12, 2016 in Toronto. Concordia won the game 3-2.
