Soccer star Andrew Bryan named 2nd team all-Canadian

Concordia Stingers striker Andrew Bryan was named to the men’s soccer second all-Canadian team as announced by the CIS last night.

The Philosophy major is the third Stinger in the last 10 years to earn the national honour. Matthijs Eppinga was a first team all-Canadian in 2010 and Ammar Badawieh was a second team star in 2003.

Bryan, a six-foot-three, 185-pound forward, scored five goals and added two assists in nine games with the Stingers this season. He ranked fourth among the RSEQ scoring leaders despite missing three games. He was named the Concordia game MVP on six occasions.

Bryan, a native of Dollard des Ormeaux, Que., comes to the Stingers from John Abbott College where he earned three consecutive all-star honours in CEGEP men’s soccer.
