2 Stingers named to women's soccer all-star team

Concordia Stingers Kayla Myre and Shannon Travers were named to the RSEQ women’s soccer second all-star team that was announced today.

Myre, a third-year defender from St. Hubert, Que., was the leading scorer on the Stingers with three goals and six assists for nine points. She was the ninth-leading scorer in the Quebec conference.

The Child Studies major was named the Stingers’ MVP in seven of the 14 regular season games this fall.

Travers, a fourth-year defender, was also on the honor roll. She scored one goal and added six assists for seven points this season.

The Dollard des Ormeaux, Que. native studies Accounting in Concordia’s John Molson School of Business.

The Stingers finished with a 5-9 win-loss record in fifth place in the eight-team Quebec conference.
