The Stingers narrowed the score to 10-6 at halftime thanks to back-to-back penalty goals by captain Joey Fulginiti at 18:57 and 37:39.

In the second half, another penalty goal by Perrin gave the Redmen a 13-6 cushion with just under 29 minutes remaining, and Thomas Stokes put the game out of reach in the final minute of play with an a final penalty goal.

Afterwards the teams lined up for presentations and the Stingers were awarded the RSEQ silver medals.
