After three days and nine games of exceptional action, the Queen’s Gaels came out on top of the standings in the 46th annual Concordia-Theresa Humes Women’s Hockey Tournament held Jan. 3-5.
The Gaels, who are ranked No. 4 in the CIS Top 10, won all three of their games, including a 5-0 victory over the host Stingers on Sunday afternoon.
Queen’s also defeated the Carleton Ravens 3-1 and the Ottawa Gee-Gees 3-2.
The Stingers posted a 1-2 win-loss record. They lost to the York Lions 3-2 and defeated the St. Thomas Tommies 3-2.
The final standings were as follows:
Queen’s – 3-0
York – 2-1
Concordia – 1-2
Carleton – 1-2
Ottawa – 1-2
St. Thomas – 1-2
The Stingers return to Quebec conference play with a home game versus the No. 2-ranked Montréal Carabins on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 3:30 p.m.
