Tickets are now on sale for the Quebec conference men’s basketball semifinal game, featuring the first-place Concordia Stingers on Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 7 p.m.
The Stingers will face either the Bishop’s Gaiters or the Laval Rouge et Or, depending on the outcome of the final RSEQ regular season games this weekend. Bishop’s hosts Laval on Friday night and the winner of the game will clinch fourth place and earn the trip to Montreal to face the Stingers.
Concordia has a 3-1 win-loss record in its season series with Bishop’s. The last two meetings have been close with the Gaiters winning 78-75 on Feb. 10 and the Stingers squeaking out a 63-58 victory on Feb. 17.
Head coach John Dore and his team have enjoyed an easier time with the Rouge et Or. The Stingers won all three meetings, outscoring Laval by 49 points in the series. The teams meet one last time on Saturday night in Ste. Foy.
