Former men's soccer captain joins coaching staff

Head coach Greg Sutton is pleased to announce the addition of Ramin Mohsenin to the coaching staff of the Concordia Stingers men’s soccer team.

Mohsenin wrapped up a four-year career with the Stingers in 2014-15 when he graduated with a BEng in Civil Engineering.On the field, the defender was heavily counted on for his leadership skills. He was Concordia’s captain for three seasons and filled the same role when representing Marianopolis College and Selwyn House School previously.

He also was an assistant coach at Marianopolis in 2010 and 2011.

A large portion of his responsibilities involve helping the new players adjust to university level soccer. He also has recruiting responsibilities, manages the Hudl video program and follows up on the Stingers’ strength and conditioning.

Sutton has also added former Stinger Aubrey Hansen-Barkun to the staff. He will serve as video co-ordinator. The Dawson College graduate is working on a Commerce degree in Marketing.

Both will be working the game this evening when the Stingers open the RSEQ regular season at home to the McGill Redmen at 6:30 p.m.
