Second-year guard Yasmin Jean-Philippe scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Concordia Stingers to an 89-69 victory over the McGill Martlets at Concordia gym in Montreal on Saturday.
Three other Stingers were also in double figures - rookie forward Heather Eason with 16 points, rookie centre Chelsea Cassidy with 12 points and second-year guard Krystle Douglas had 11 points.
Cassidy notched the double-double by adding 10 rebounds to her 12 points.
The leading scorer on the Martlets was Catherine Parent with 14 points.
Concordia's win-loss record improves to 4-6 and puts the team in third-place in the five-team league.
McGill is in last place with a 2-10 record.
