Douglas named to cage honor roll

Krystle Douglas, a third-year guard from Châteauguay, Que., was the only member of the Concordia Stingers women’s basketball team named to the Quebec conference all-star team announced this week.

Douglas averages 12.9 points a game and 27 minutes of playing time. She is the top scorer on the Stingers and ranks fourth in the conference.

This is the third time she has been accorded all-star honors. She was named to the first team in both 2008 and 2009. In her rookie season she was a second team all-star.

Anne-Marie Prophete, a forward from Ste. Foy, Que., was named to the QSSF all-rookie team. She scored 7.7 points a game and averaged 19 minutes of playing time. She was the second-leading rebounder on the team.
