Bryan Bourbonnais joins soccer coaching staff

Lloyd Barker, head coach of the Concordia men’s soccer team, is pleased to announce the addition of former Stinger captain Bryan Bourbonnais to the coaching staff.

Bourbonnais, a native of St. Hubert, Que., was a key member of the Stingers for five seasons, beginning in 2005. He was the team captain in 2008 and 2009.

"Bryan was a very effective captain,” said Barker. “He is without question a perfect candidate to add on my coaching staff. His work ethic as a student-athlete exemplifies all that we admire and is contagious to others. We are delighted to have him on board.”

The accomplished forward has an extensive background working with adults and children. He’s worked with youth as a manger of a group home. He was a program co-ordinator for an after school program at Residence Project Chance. He has also helped out with minor soccer teams and worked at soccer camps.

“I hope to use the knowledge I have acquired as a player to be a positive influence for the upcoming soccer season,” said Bourbonnais who majored in Leisure Sciences at Concordia.
