Karim Haroun earns men's soccer all-star honor

Concordia Stinger midfielder Karim Haroun was selected to the RSEQ second all-star team for men’s soccer last week.

Haroun, a second-year Civil Engineering student, was the leading scorer on the Stingers with five goals and one assist for six points in 11 games. He was eighth overall in conference scoring.

"Karim's success is as a result of the extra time he invests in continuing to improve his game,” says Concordia head coach Lloyd Barker. “He is a classic example of hard work paying off. A pleasure to coach."

He was a bright spot in a challenging season that saw the Stingers finish with a 3-8-1 win-loss-tie record.

The men’s soccer team is enjoying some down time, but will be back in action shortly as the RSEQ indoor season begins the Jan. 15.
