Jessie Davis commits to Concordia soccer

Jorge Sanchez, head coach of the Concordia University women's soccer program, is pleased to announce that Jessie Davis, an exceptional young goaltender from Port Coquitlam, B.C., will join the Stingers this August.

“Jessie will bring strong technical abilities and a wealth of experience from a diverse and competitive background to Concordia," says Sanchez. "Her presence at Concordia will solidify the goalie position for the next four years.”

Davis recently completed her youth soccer career with the Coquitlam City Renegades. She also played in the Pacific Coast Women’s Soccer League with the Tri-Cities Xtreme where she had the opportunity to face several Canadian national team players and one of the world’s top strikers in Tiffany Milbrett of the U.S. She has also participated in high level programs such as Vancouver’s Total Soccer Systems and the Shotstoppers Goaltending Academy.

Davis has been accepted into the prestigious Exercise Science program at Concordia.

The Stingers open training camp Monday, Aug. 21 and will begin play Friday, Aug. 25 when Concordia host its annual three-day Stinger Challenge.
