Stuckey, Hinse - PJ's Pub Athletes of the Week

Cara Stuckey of the women's rugby team and Olivier Hinse of the men’s hockey team have been named the PJ’s Pub Concordia Stingers athletes of the week for the period ending Oct. 13.

Stuckey, a fourth-year flanker, was instrumental in helping the Stingers defeat the Bishop’s Gaiters 77-0 last Friday night. She scored three tries and was named the game MVP in her last regular game as a Stinger. The victory gave Concordia a perfect 7-0 regular season record.

A 22-year-old resident of St. Chrysostome, Que., Stuckey is currently enrolled in the Marketing program at Concordia. 

Hinse, a second-year centre, picked up four goals and two assists in three road games last week. He helped the Stingers put together a 1-1-1 record in the first week of the season. Concordia scored seven goals in the three games with Hinse involved in six of them. He finished the week at the leading scorer in CIS men’s hockey.

The 22-year-old student from Sherbrooke, Que. is enrolled in the Child Studies program at Concordia.
