HARRY HUS helped establish Loyola College and Concordia University as a men's soccer power in the 1970's. His coaching career took off in 1967 when Harry was named coach of Loyola's junior varsity soccer program. In 1971, Harry became head coach of the varsity team, a position he held until his retirement from coaching in 1983. During that time his teams won eight conference titles and two national championships. The 1973 Loyola Warriors and the 1976 Concordia Stingers were the first national champions in men's soccer at their respective institions. Harry was named conference Coach of the Year on seven occasions. He was also instrumental in organizing the Canadian University Soccer Coaches Association. Harry, an accomplished athlete at Loyola College which he attended from 1960 to 1964, focused on officiating basketball after he stopped coaching. He became one of Canada's top international officials.

During his years as a student at Loyola, he was a member of a memorable basketball team (1962-63) which was inducted separately into the Hall in 2001.
