Damian Buckley, a third-year point guard from Montreal, leads Concordia’s contingent on the 2007-’08 QSSF men’s basketball honor roll that was announced Feb. 20.
It’s a third straight first team all-star honor for Buckley who averages 20.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists a game. He leads the Quebec conference in assists and steals (2.0 a game) and is second in league scoring.
Fourth-year centre Jamal Gallier of Toronto makes his first appearance on the honor roll. He was named to the second all-star team. He averages 8.6 points and 7.2 rebounds a game. He is the top rebounder on the Stingers and ranks third in the conference.
James Clark was named to the Quebec league all-rookie team. The six-foot-six forward from Toronto picks up 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds a game.
The Stingers have two games left on the regular season schedule. They host the Bishop’s Gaiters on Friday at 6 p.m. and then visit the McGill Redmen on Sunday at 4 p.m.
