The Concordia Stingers will meet the Bishop’s Gaiters in the second annual Shrine Classique basketball doubleheader at Concordia gym on Friday night.
On the men’s side, the teams have split two contests so far this season. Bishop’s holds the advantage on the women’s side, having won both games to date.
In the inaugural event in Lennoxville, Que., the teams split the honors. Concordia won the men’s contest by a score of 59-51. The Stingers lost the women’s game 85-55.
A portion of the proceeds will go the Karnak Transportation Fund. This initiative helps pay air, train or other associated costs for patients who have to travel to Montreal for treatment.
The men tip off at 6 p.m. and the women’s game starts at 8 p.m.
