Head coach Marc-André Element is pleased to announce left wing Luca Ciampini has committed to the Concordia men's hockey team and will join the Stingers at the end of the month.

"I want to bring a winning attitude to Concordia and having a player who has won championships is good for team," said Element of his blue chip recruit. "Luca is a winner and he's very committed to the Stingers. He's a serious offensive threat. He sees the ice well and he scores goals."
Last season, Ciampini wrapped up his major junior career as a member of the Baie Comeau Drakkar. He collected 33 goals and 44 assists for 77 points in 68 games. Before joining the junior ranks, he played midget AAA hockey with the Châteauguay Patriotes and at Loyola High School.
"I grew up playing hockey in the area so I'm very happy to be able to play close to home, especially after five years away," Ciampini said of his decision to join the Stingers. "This is a great program. I'm excited about playing for Marc-André Element and being with a lot of the guys I know on the team."
