Hinse, U Sports all-stars to face Canada's junior team

Concordia Stinger captain Olivier Hinse will suit up in a two-game exhibition series between the U Sports men’s hockey all-stars and Canada’s national junior team prospects on Dec. 12 and 13 in Boisbriand, Que.

This is the second consecutive year Hinse has been named to the U Sports all-star team for the annual games versus the national junior team. Last year, he scored a goal in the all-stars’ 5-4 victory over the juniors. He was also an alternate captain with the squad.

In 16 games with the Stingers this season, the centre from Sherbrooke, Que. has 12 goals and six assists for 18 points.

The two-game series takes place at the at Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau, 3600 Boulevard de la Grande-Allée, Boisbriand, Que. The puck drops at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12. The following day the game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The games are part of the Canada’s junior hockey team’s preparation for the 41st IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Montreal and Toronto from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.
