2 Stingers in Double Blue as CFL camps open

Quarterback Trenton Miller and defensive tackle Sam Narkaj are participating in the Toronto Argonauts rookie camp this week as CFL teams begin preparations for the 2017 season.

Miller, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., is attending his third straight pro camp. He attended the Montreal Alouettes’ rookie sessions in 2015 and 2016. He benefits from efforts the CFL is making to help develop Canadian university quarterbacks.

This August the MBA student will return to the Stingers for his third and final season. There are big expectations for the 2015 RSEQ MVP and his veteran offence this fall.

Narkaj, who wrapped up his university career in 2016, was a free agent. He has signed a contract with the Argos who plan to convert the all-Canadian defensive lineman to a centre.

The six-foot, 298-pound native of Shkoder, Albania played 29 games in four seasons at Concordia. He was ranked second in the RSEQ in sacks with six and tackles for a loss (10) while notching 19 solo and eight assisted tackles in 2016.
