QB Miller collecting socks for homeless at Friday's game

Join Concordia Stinger quarterback Trenton Miller in his effort to make a difference by supporting Toe2Toe, a local initiative that solicits donations to help provide adequate footwear to the homeless of Montreal.

At Friday night’s home football game versus the Laval Rouge et Or, Miller has invited Toe2Toe founder Chris Costello to set up a booth and collect donations of new socks and money.

Anyone who donates a pair of new socks or a minimum of $5 cash will be entered into a raffle for Montreal Canadiens tickets, as well as other prizes.

Miller became a supporter of Toe2Toe as part of Concordia’s MBA program community initiative last year. The quarterback was able to help raise awareness and contributions resulting in approximately 500 pairs of socks. This year he continues to give his time to the cause.

Socks are the most requested items for the homeless, but it is the least donated item to the homeless population. A simple pair of socks has a huge positive impact on a person’s life.

Toe2Toe collected roughly 15,000 pairs of socks in 2016. This year the goal is to double the amount.
