Two members of the Concordia Stingers soccer programs were named to the RSEQ all-star teams announced by the conference yesterday.
A graduating senior from Boucherville, Que., Olivier Georges was selected for the men’s second team. The talented defender has received four all-star honours in his four years with the Stingers. In 2016, he was named to the first team, and was on the second team in 2014, 2015 and this season.
Georges also received all-star honours in 2016 and 2017 for his play in the RSEQ indoor league.
Chama Sedki, an outstanding mid-fielder from Longueuil, Que., was named to the women’s second all-star team. She was the leading scorer on the Stingers with four goals and three assists in 14 games.
This is the second RSEQ honour for Sedki. The second-year athlete was also named to the indoor soccer all-star team last spring.
