A perfect season will be on the line when the Concordia Stingers host the École de technologie supérieure (ETS) Piranhas in the RSEQ men's rugby championship on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Concordia stadium.
The Stingers rolled up a flawless 7-0 win-loss record in regular season conference play. In semifinal action last week, Concordia defeated the McGill Redmen 36-18.
The Piranahs posted a 3-3-1 record in the regular season before defeating the Bishop’s Gaiters 7-0 in the semifinals.
When the teams meet on Sunday, the Stingers, who outscored their opponents 283 to 113 in seven games, will put a skilled, all-star filled team on the field.
ETS, who scored 127 points while giving up 151 points in seven games, will rely on sheer determination and an in-your-face style of play.
The teams met once in 2017 with the Stingers coming out on top 36-12 in a game played at Concordia on Sept. 17.
Tickets are $10 and are available online and at the door.
