David Zilberman finished first in both the 100 kg and the 130 kg weight classes to help Concordia University finish in first place at the annual Concordia Invitational Wrestling Tournament held at the Loyola gym on Sunday.
The third-year athlete from Montreal bettered five other wrestlers to win the 90 kg event. There were seven other competitors in the heavyweight category.
Concordia accumulated 50 points in the meet which featured 120 men's and women's wrestlers from across eastern Canada and the north eastern United States.
Concordia's Tim Wadsworth in the 65 kg category and Tyler Marghetis in the 82 kg weight class also won their events.
Both Tony Ronci and Sergui Guevorkian competed in the 72 kg event finishing second and fourth, respectively. McMaster University had 30 points and Brock and Guelph universities finished with 27 points each to round out the top three spots in the tournament.
