Concordia Campus Recreation staff were able to support a unique event at the end of July when comedy performers and entertainment industry bigwigs gathered at the Ed Meagher Arena in a battle of epic proportions: The second annual Just For Laughs Festival RBK Ball Hockey Cup.
The Fragile Egos and the Talentless Leeches battled for bragging rights. As the buzzer sounded, it was 6-5 for the Fragile Egos, after a solid two-way game that could have gone either way.
The teams were evenly matched with George Stroumboulopoulos (CBC’s The Hour) and Harland Williams (There’s Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber) playing for the Fragile Egos, and top-flight entertainment executives (producers, agents and managers) picking up sticks for the Talentless Leeches.
Watch for the third annual game, at the world’s largest comedy event, Just For Laughs, in July 2008.
