A new Concordia intramural basketball champion has been crowned on Nov. 27. Despite getting off to a slow start in the regular season, Team Lefort is the 2007 fall champion. The cagers went on a six-game winning streak and won the league title with a 67-59 victory over Iron Will.
Team Lefort finished in third place and upset second-place Schwein Blitz 72-65 in the semifinals.
Iron Will had a great run and was riding an 8-0 win-loss record heading into the playoffs. Iron Will won the 2007 winter session of the intramural basketball league and was in first place at the end of the regular schedule. In the semifinals, Iron Will coasted to 45-29 victory over fourth-ranked 23.
The intramural indoor soccer league champions were also crowned at the end of November. Warningbri eked out a 1-0 victory over Draft Team 1 to win the Western Division final. Mendoza clawed its way back from a modest third-place finish in the regular season to capture the East Division title, defeating the first-place Gunners by a narrow margin of 2-1.
