Junior Stingers & CCM Get In The Game Program 2025
The Concordia women's hockey team is pleased to offer the Junior Stingers & CCM Get In the Game Program.
This program run in partnership with CCM and powered by the NHL Player Inclusion Coalition, aims to give girls ages 5-10 the opportunity to try hockey for the first time.
The program is staffed by 4-time Olympian and Stinger head coach Julie Chu as well as other passionate local coaches.
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Players born between 2016-2020
- The participant's home address must be in the Montreal area
- Girls must have never been registered in a minor hockey program recognized by Hockey Québec / Hockey Canada
- Participants must have experience skating and be able to skate without support
- Participants must be available for the entire duration of the program
- Participants must participate in a short survey following the program
DATES & TIMES:
8 On-Ice Sessions
- July 12 – 9-10 a.m.
- July 13 – 9-10 a.m.
- July 19 – 9-10 a.m.
- July 20 – 9-10 a.m.
- August 2 –- 8-9 a.m.
- August 3 – 8-9 a.m.
- August 16 – 9-10 a.m.
- August 17 – 9-10 a.m.
OBJECTIVE:
To provide an introductory hockey program to encourage girls to start playing hockey under the mentorship of players and coaches who have played at the highest levels.
FEATURES:
- There will be a strong focus on fundamentals such as skating and puck skills
- Through station work, participants will work on passing, shooting and small games that engage the interest of new hockey players
COST:
$200
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:
- 8 on-ice sessions
- Complete hockey equipment including skates, helmet and stick
- Get in the Game hockey jersey and socks
- Two tickets to a Stingers regular season home game
