-
Guillaume G. Bourassa joined the Concordia Stingers football staff as an offensive assistant and running backs coach in June of 2018. He quickly added more responsibilities to his portfolio, taking on the roles of special teams co-ordinator and strength and conditioning coach.
In addition to his versatility and ability to run several areas, head coach Brad Collinson was excited to add Bourassa to his team because of his dedication, leadership and his winning background.
Bourassa was a star running back with the Laval Rouge et Or for five seasons, including the Vanier Cup championship campaigns in 2010, 2012 and 2013.
The native of La Tuque, Que. was a two-time all-star with the Champlain Cougars in the Cégep ranks before joining the Rouge et Or in 2010. He also represented Quebec and Canada in national and international competitions.
Bourassa was selected by the B.C. Lions in the seventh round of the 2014 CFL draft.
His coaching experience includes serving as a player and offensive co-ordinator with les Iron Mask de Cannes in France in 2016. He has coached at Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes and with Cégep Garneau. Also, in 2018 he was the running backs coach with Quebec’s U18 team.
Bourassa graduated from Université Laval with a Business Certificate in Management in 2015.
