2026 FOOTBALL SHRINE BOWL AMBASSADORS

Shrine Bowl Ambassador - Lexi

Lexi

Lexi, 9, is a kind, independent and determined young girl who started Grade 4 this fall. A talented math student, she loves sports, competitive dance and making friends wherever she goes.

Lexi is currently navigating osteochondral lesions (OCL) in both ankles, a condition that has dramatically changed her daily life. Prolonged immobilization and a focus on recovery instead of the activities she loves have tested her strength and perseverance. Through it all, she has remained positive, resilient and hopeful.

At Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada, Lexi and her family found more than expert medical care. They found a caring community that supported them every step of the way. Inspired by the team helping her recovery, Lexi now dreams of becoming a doctor like her father and one day working at a Shriners hospital to help other children. Her message to families facing medical challenges is simple: “With Shriners, you are never alone — you are family.”

Shrine Bowl Ambassador - Olivia

Olivia

Olivia, 7, is a bright, cheerful and sociable young girl who started Grade 2 this fall. Passionate about skiing, dancing, performing arts and travel, she loves learning, making new friends and bringing smiles to those around her.

Born with congenital femoral hypoplasia in her left leg, a condition that causes one leg to be shorter than the other, Olivia will require several limb-lengthening procedures throughout her growth. This year, she reached an important milestone by completing her first lengthening process, which involved multiple surgeries. Supported by her family, friends and classmates, who sent her many encouraging messages, Olivia demonstrated remarkable courage and determination. The experience helped her grow stronger and develop an impressive level of maturity for her age.

At Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada, Olivia feels right at home. She enjoys reconnecting with the many staff members who have supported her throughout her journey and values the opportunity to meet other children who understand her experiences. Even during her surgeries, Olivia impresses the team with her courage, heading to the operating room with confidence and a smile. Her journey is a wonderful example of resilience and determination.
