In the long history of Loyola, perhaps no individual has so thoroughly
dominated the athletic scene or has reached such high levels of achievement as
has DIANE QUART. During her college
career, she played four different varsity sports- tennis for two years,
volleyball for one year, ice hockey for four years, and basketball for five
years. She was Most Valuable Player in hockey and volleyball. For four years,
she was her basketball team's Most Valuable Player, and for four consecutive
years (1971-1974) she was named Female Athlete of the Year. After graduation
she continued her athletic interest and thought tennis and physical education.
