Winners of the Ottawa-St. Lawrence championship in 1963, this team represented Loyola at the inaugural Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union men's basketball championship tournament. The Warriors were coached by former Harlem Globetrotter, Jack Winters. The local newspaper reported that, "The most revitalized sport on the Loyola scene is undoubtedly the varsity basketball team. For the first time in many years this team has turned out to be the powerhouse in the OSL."
