While PAUL LEVESQUE was very active in
varsity skiing and a large number of intramural sports during his years at
Loyola College, it was in the field of international competition that he
attained his greatest achievements. As a member of the Canadian National
Bobsled Team from 1962 to 1967, he participated in many national and
international events. In 1967 his interests turned toward the sport of luging
when he became playing-coach of the Canadian National Team. He continued this
role within the Canadian Team that competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics in
Grenoble, France. In 1969, he was coach of the National Bobsled Team. Included
among his many awards are the Canadian Centennial Medal in 1967 and the John
F.Kennedy Sports Memorial Medal in 1968.
