Audrey Belzile of the women’s hockey team and Ken Beaulieu of the men’s basketball team have been named the Subway-Concordia Stingers athletes of the week for the period ending Feb. 4.
Belzile, a second-year forward with the Stingers, had an exceptional weekend picking up five goals and an assist in two games. She scored a goal in a 3-1 victory over the McGill Martlets last Friday. Two days later she had four goals and an assist versus the Carleton Ravens to help Concordia collect a 7-2 win.
A 20-year-old native of St. Hyacinthe, Que., Belzile is studying Business at Concordia.Beaulieu, a forward in his final year with the Stingers, put up big numbers to help Concordia sweep a two-game series with the UQAM Citadins last week. In a 93-90 overtime win last Thursday, he scored 17 points and hauled in 12 rebounds for a double double Two days later he was good for nine points and 13 rebounds in a 76-61-74 victory.
The 24-year-old student from Longueuil, Que., is studying in the Leisure Sciences program.
