Stingers punch ticket to RSEQ final and U SPORTS Nationals

The Concordia Stingers women's hockey team is headed to the RSEQ Final — and back to the national stage — after sweeping the McGill Martlets in the conference semifinals.

In Game 1 on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Ed Meagher Arena, the Stingers delivered a statement performance in front of our home crowd, skating to a 5-1 victory. Émilie Lussier and Émilie Lavoie each scored twice, while Jessymaude Drapeau added a goal to round out the offensive surge.

Concordia carried that momentum into Saturday’s Game 2 at McGill, securing the sweep with a 4-1 win. Chloé Gendreau opened the scoring, Drapeau struck twice, and Lussier added another marker. In goal, Belle Mende turned aside 22 shots to backstop the victory.

With the series win, the Stingers not only advance to the RSEQ Final but have also officially qualified for the U SPORTS National Championship.

Concordia will now face the Montréal Carabins in the RSEQ Final, with Game 1 set for March 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Ed Meagher Arena.
