Women's hockey win 2025-26 RSEQ championship with win over Carabins

The Concordia Stingers women’s hockey team are RSEQ champions once again after a 2–1 victory over the Montréal Carabins in Game 2 of the conference final at CEPSUM.

Trailing by a goal in the third period, the Stingers mounted a late comeback to secure the title. Rookie Juliette Leroux tied the game early in the frame, setting the stage for a dramatic finish. With less than three minutes remaining in regulation, Émilie Lussier scored the game-winning goal to clinch the championship for Concordia.

Goaltender Jordyn Verbeek was solid between the pipes, stopping 19 shots to help preserve the win.

The title marks the program’s 24th conference championship and their fourth in the last five seasons. Concordia was dominant throughout the postseason, going undefeated and sweeping both the McGill Martlets and the Carabins in two games each.

With the RSEQ banner secured, the Stingers will now turn their attention to the U SPORTS National Championship tournament, set for March 19–22 in Waterloo.
