Stingers edge Montréal 4-3 in regular season finale behind Lussier's milestone night

The Concordia Stingers women's hockey team wrapped up the regular season with a 4-3 victory over the Montréal Carabins, finishing atop the RSEQ standings with a dominant 22-2 record.

Émilie Lussier led the charge with two goals, while Jessymaude Drapeau and Courtney Rice each added singles in the win. In goal, Jordyn Verbeek turned aside 25 shots, coming up with several spectacular and crucial saves down the stretch to secure the victory.

The night was another milestone moment for Lussier, who surpassed 100 career points as a Stinger. She now sits second in U SPORTS scoring with 37 points (18 goals, 19 assists). Drapeau continues to lead the nation with 40 points (22 goals, 18 assists), cementing her place as the top scorer in U SPORTS this season.

With first place locked up, the Stingers now turn their attention to the RSEQ semifinals, where they will face the McGill Martlets.

Game 1 is set for Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Ed Meagher Arena. Game 2 will take place at McGill on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. If necessary, Game 3 will return to Concordia on Sunday, March 1 at 7 p.m.
