The honours continue to roll in for the Concordia Stingers women's hockey team following a historic season in the RSEQ.
Captain Jessymaude Drapeau was named RSEQ Player of the Year after a dominant campaign that saw her lead all of U SPORTS in scoring with 40 points, including 22 goals and 18 assists. Her offensive production set the tone for Concordia all season long and established her as the most dangerous scorer in the country.
Angélie Jobin earned RSEQ Rookie of the Year honours, making an immediate impact in her first season and solidifying herself as a key piece of the Stingers’ future.
Behind the bench, head coach Julie Chu was named RSEQ Coach of the Year — the 6th time she has received the award — further cementing her status as one of the premier coaches in Canadian university hockey.
Jordyn Verbeek was also honoured with the Leadership and Social Engagement Award, becoming the latest Stinger to receive the distinction. She joins a growing list of recipients from the program, including Jessymaude Drapeau (2024-25), Emmy Fecteau (2023-24), as well as past winners Brigitte Laganière and Jaymee Shell.
The Stingers were also well represented on the RSEQ First Team All-Star list. Drapeau was joined by Émilie Lavoie and Émilie Lussier, who finished second in U SPORTS scoring with 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists). In goal, Jordyn Verbeek earned first team honours after posting 14 wins and a .875 save percentage, the third-best mark in U SPORTS.
On the All-Rookie Team, Jobin was joined by Frédérike Verpaelst, highlighting the program’s depth and emerging young talent.
From top scorers to elite goaltending and strong leadership behind the bench, the Stingers’ presence across the conference awards reflects a season defined by excellence at every level.
