Claudia Fortin earns all-Canadian hockey honours

Concordia defender Claudia Fortin was named a second team all-Canadian when U SPORTS held its annual all-Canadian gala in Charlottetown on Wednesday night.

The fourth-year athlete from Quebec City was instrumental in helping a young Concordia team finish second in the RSEQ with a 13-4-2 record and 29 points, just two points out of first place in the conference.

Fortin played all 20 regular season games. She scored two goals and added 11 assists for 13 points. She was the highest scoring defender in the Quebec conference.

The Exercise Science student was also a RSEQ first team all-star in 2019.

Fortin is a graduate of the Limoilou Titans, a perennial powerhouse in the RSEQ college league. She was also a member of Quebec’s U18 team in 2012.
