The Stingers men's basketball team battled hard in its three games at the annual Concordia Classic tournament over the holiday weekend, winning one and losing the another two by a total of four points.
On the final day the Stingers went up against the undefeated Memorial Sea-Hawks and were leading with just a few seconds on the clock, when Nathan Barker’s jump shot in the dying seconds gave the visitors a dramatic 74-73 victory.
Barker had 14 points in the game as did teammate Cole Long. Concordia countered with Olivier Simon who scored 20 points and Adrian Armstrong who chipped in with 18 points.
The Sea-Hawks won the tournament with a 3-0 win-loss record. The Stingers fell to 1-2 and finished in third place.
