All-star Émilie Lavoie commits to Concordia hockey

Head coach Caroline Ouellette is pleased to announce all-star forward Émilie Lavoie from the Cégep Édouard-Montpetit Lynx will join the Concordia Stingers women's hockey team in 2021.

''Our coaching staff is thrilled to announce the commitment of a dominant Cégep player,” said Ouellette. “Émilie possesses an incredible skill set that will translate quickly to the university level. She is a well-balanced player with a touch for scoring and the ability to set up teammates. We know she will be a great addition to our Stingers family.''

The Fermont, Que. native was a RSEQ first team all-star in 2019-20. She was the leading scorer on her team with 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 26 games. She ranked sixth in the conference.

Lavoie was recently selected for the Hockey Canada Women’s Development Team summer camp. She also represented Team Québec at the 2019 Canada Winter Games helping her team earn a silver medal.
