Your gift matters - Giving Tuesday just two weeks away

The Concordia Department of Recreation and Athletics is calling on alumni fans, friends and family to direct support to their favorite Concordia Stingers program this Nov. 30 as part of Giving Tuesday.

This day of giving was first observed in 2012 as a way to encourage people to make donations and to volunteer. It has become an annual tradition celebrated on the Tuesday following American Thanksgiving.

Your gift will help the department continue to grow and to deliver an exceptional experience to our student-athletes.

“A gift of any size will have a positive impact on the opportunities we offer our Stingers,” says Director of Recreation and Athletics D’Arcy Ryan. “The support we received in 2020 helped us rally from the disappointment of cancelled seasons and made us stronger when we returned to action this fall.”

The department participated in Giving Tuesday for the first time in 2020. The Stingers raised $160,000 thanks to the generosity of 400 supporters.

Building on that success, this year’s goal is to raise $200,000 that will go towards additional financial aid, acquiring the latest in high-tech equipment and to support a variety of initiatives identified by the Concordia Stingers coaches that will further strengthen their programs.

The Department of Recreation and Athletics  Giving Tuesday  page is up and ready to accept your gifts.

All gifts are eligible for charitable tax receipts.
