Dynamic twins commit to Concordia men's soccer program

Head coach Greg Sutton is pleased to announce twin midfielders Jean-Marc Kalambayi and Jean de Dieu Mbuyi have committed to the Concordia Stingers men's soccer program.

“I’m really excited about adding these brothers to our squad,” said Sutton. “The great ability they have to play multiple positions is a huge asset to add to our group. They both possess great speed and athleticism along with their technical abilities that will translate well at the university level. We also hope to continue to cultivate the tremendous upside they possess and are looking forward to watching them grow as players.”

Kalambayi and Mbuyi are originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo but now call Laval, Que. home.

They played RSEQ college soccer with the Montmorency Nomades and now compete in the Première ligue de soccer du Québec

Kalambayi will study Electrical Engineering and Mbuyi study Industrial Engineering at the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science.

The brothers agree that “Concordia is the best choice on the field and academically speaking. The coaching staff will definitely help us reach a higher level and hopefully together we’ll go far.”
