Strong recruiting class announced for 2023 men's soccer team

Eleven talented new student-athletes from Quebec, Ontario and Spain will be with the team when it opens training camp in August.

“With 10 players graduating from last year’s team, we needed to bring in depth,” said Sutton. “Heading into the fall I feel like this is the best class of recruits and the best group we’ve had in a long time.”

The skilled class features six defenders, three midfielders, a forward and a goalkeeper.

The following athletes have committed to the Stingers:

  • • Lundon Browne – Defender, FC Laval, CF Montreal Academy
  • • Davide Pecoraro - Defender, Champlain College, St. Lambert
  • • Cristopher Cruz – Midfielder, Safor FC
  • • William Carron - Midfielder, John Abbott College
  • • Olivier Langué-Dubé - Defender, Collège Ahuntsic
  • • Luckson Junior Vilus - Defender, Cégep Garneau
  • • Vako Mouradian – Goalkeeper, Collège Montmorency
  • • Mahdi Djellab - Midfielder, St. Laurent (PLSQ)
  • • Almany Bangoura – Forward, St. Francis Xavier (transfer)
  • • Wesley Siewe - Defender, Spain
  • • Zackiel Brault - Defender, FC Laval PLSQ, CF Montreal Academy

“The area we need to improve on the most was defence, and we definitely did that. Securing Lundon and Olivier and adding in Zaciel and Davide and more, we’ve become a strong side.”
