The RSEQ announced its 2022 men's soccer all-stars and all-rookies late Friday and the Concordia Stingers earned four honours.
Captain Sean Holmes was named to the conference’s second all-star team. The fifth-year defender had two assists in 10 games. He was also named player of the game on two occasions. It the second consecutive all-star honour for him
Midfielder John Cevik was also named to the second all-star team. A third-year graduating player, he had one assist in 11 games and earned one player of the game honour. He also received recognition in 2019 when he was named to the league’s all-rookie team.
Defender Olivier Roy and midfielder Quentin Bourgeais were named to the all-rookie team. Roy had an immediate positive impact on the Stingers, playing in 11 games. Bourgeais only played six games but picked up one goal, two assists and two game MVP honours.
