After a two-year absence, the Stingers men's basketball team is pleased to welcome everyone back to the Concordia Classic Tournament, a four-team, three-day showdown that tips off Friday evening.
This year, there will be representation from all four U Sports basketball conferences with the Trinity Western Spartans coming in from Canada West, the Toronto Metropolitan University Bold coming from the OUA and the Dalhousie Tigers from the AUS.
Dalhousie finished first last year with 12-2 win-loss record in the Atlantic conference. Trinity Western was a respectable 8-10, finishing fourth in the seven-team CW West division. TMU also had a solid season, posting an 8-6 record and placing fourth out of nine teams in the OUA East.
The Stingers are coming off a 6-6 regular season. They were edged out 48-46 in the RSEQ championship game last March.
